“We hired The Kingfish Band to perform at our wedding in September, 2014. We cannot stress how much they did for us that day. Everything went so smooth and much of it was because of their creativity and professionalism. We had so many of our guests ask who the band was and how we found them. People were amazed at how many songs they packed in and that the band never seemed to get tired while performing all night. They took a lot of stress out of our day when they assured us they would read the crowd and make sure everything went smoothly. They coordinated a perfect transition from ceremony, to cocktail hour, to dinner, to reception. We could tell they had done it before and they were experts. Everything went perfectly as planned. The cost was very reasonable considering everything they did and how much everyone loved them. They were the best part of our wedding and definitely made the day for us. "We saw The Kingfish at a friend’s wedding, and they were instantly put to the top of our 'Wedding Band' list. They climbed even higher when we met with them prior to our wedding, and their organization and professionalism was as good as their musicianship. Not only did they make everything easy and carefree, but they were super enthusiastic about making our day special, and unlike any other performance they had done. From the ability to learn custom songs upon request, to the amazing DJ service they’ll also provide in between sets, we could not have asked for better reception entertainment. "We knew early on that we wanted a band to play at our wedding verse a DJ, it was just a matter of which band. We actually stumbled upon The Kingfish one night out in Milwaukee and we liked them so much I was already researching them online the next day. After reaching out to band I began dealing with one of the members directly, Steve. He was so organized and on top of things that he was able to answer and address all our question and concerns that it didn't take us long to book them. We are so glad we did as they were just as much fun at our wedding as the first night we saw them play. Our guest are still talking about how much fun they had! "Hiring a band for our wedding was surprisingly the easiest thing to do on our long list of things “to do” before we said “I do.” We heard The Kingfish play at another wedding and absolutely loved them. We were having a formal wedding and appreciated the fact all the members were clean-cut and dressed appropriately. They played EVERYTHING as well—songs we knew my 100 year old grandma would like, as well as my teenage students. The Kingfish could not have been more reasonable, easier to deal with, or more accommodating—every dealing I had with them from start to finish was nothing but delightful. "The Kingfish were one of the highlights of our wedding. The dance floor was crowded all night and many of our guests commented on how much they enjoyed the band. They have a wide song selection and the ability/talent to learn new songs from all different genres of music, which worked great for us as we had guests of all different ages with so many different music tastes. "When Karen and I got engaged, one of the things that we knew we wanted for our wedding reception was a live band. We met Joe Howard (drummer extraordinaire) through a mutual friend and attended a few of The Kingfish’s live shows and loved their sound! Joe was a professional throughout the process and was incredibly helpful in helping us ensure that all of the details, from the entrance to the toasts to the dances, were handled smoothly, coaching us through some of the logistics when we had questions.

On the day of the wedding, The Kingfish ensured that all of the entertainment for the night went off without a hitch. In addition to the diverse set list that they set up, The Kingfish learned new music for our first dance (creating a new arrangement that sounded as good as the original) as well the father/daughter and mother/son dances. They truly ensured that we had nothing to worry about throughout our special day. “We were fortunate enough to book The Kingfish as the entertainment for our wedding in October of 2009. We had really done our homework on local bands and felt that The Kingfish had an authentic rock and roll sound and played a diverse range of music that other bands just could not match. We attended a few performances by the band in the months leading up to the wedding and were completely sold. We initially expressed to the band that we had a very specific set list that we would like to hear at our wedding. The band was exceedingly accommodating and agreed to learn more than a dozen new songs, including our wedding song!

When we arrived at our reception, the band had already done a sound-check and was ready to announce our bridal party. They did a flawless job of MC’ing our wedding and announced all of our speeches. The song learned for our first dance was a difficult one, but they performed it beautifully and my Dad could not believe that it was not a recording. Our guests were incredibly impressed with the band and several people commented: "This is one of the best Live Shows that I have seen in a long time" and "Best Wedding Band I've Ever Heard". Every song that The Kingfish learned was executed flawlessly - they nailed each one!

These guys are truly talented musicians, they play great songs, have an extensive set list and they have a funky, high-energy rock and roll sound. If you want a programmed generic wedding band experience with no soul, choose an area wedding band. If you want your event to truly rock and get people out on the dance floor all night, consider The Kingfish! The guys were incredibly accommodating and easy to work with.
